On this Mother’s Day of May 13, 2018, I have found myself deep in thought of the blessings I have had for the beautiful Being who was my Mom. I dedicate these quotes to her as well as to express the deep gratitude I have for the experience of being a Mother myself to my three incredible sons. I also dedicate these quotes to my daughter-in-laws who are “Mother” to my four amazing grandchildren.
Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. A mother’s arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them.
A mom’s hug lasts long after she lets go.
A mother’s heart is a patchwork of love.
Being a mother means that your heart is no longer yours; it wanders wherever your children do.
My mom is a lifelong smile in my heart, her voice a comfort to my soul, her hugs my ladder to the stars.
My Mother’s hands, so thin and work-worn,
Were loved by me as jewels, rare,
For they had rocked me in my cradle,
And, lovingly, they’d stroked my hair.
They worked for me, both night and morning;
They helped to smooth away my fears,
For never were these dear hands idle;
I think of them with love and tears!
My Mother’s hands to me were precious:
I thought their beauty was sublime;
I felt no harm on earth could touch me
If they were near me all the time!
God could not be everywhere, so he created mothers. ~Jewish Proverb
