Iron is responsible to attract oxygen to the body and to carry oxygen to all systems, tissues and organs. Without an iron reserve, oxygen cannot be attracted to the body. These two are inseparable in their functions.

Iron and oxygen can be considered the hand and the glove. When present in the body in normal quantities, they ensure vitality, personal magnetism, charm, optimism, a sharp mind, a strong (iron) will and courage. These effects all contribute to one’s power to accomplish. Rosy cheeks and lovely complexion are gifts of adequate iron in the body. Iron combined with oxygen raises metabolism, promotes ambition and reasoning ability, improves one’s ability to be sensitive to others, and improves appetite and memory.

Highest iron food sources include dulse, kelp, rice bran, greens such as spinach, dried fruits, black cherries and liquid chlorophyll.  Other food sources are almonds, beet greens, black walnuts, dates, figs, kale, parsley, dried prunes, hot red peppers, radishes, sprouted seeds and sprouted beans.
