A variety of medical approaches consider themselves under the umbrella of alternative medical systems. There is agreement that humans have built-in recuperative powers. I have observed with great interest that even in the weeks preceding death of my hospice patients, the body is amazing in its ability to carry on with basic functions of life. I ponder on the thought of what difference it would make to the dying process if we were all taught and lived with the focus of appreciating what is working rather than the reverse.
