As the expression goes, “Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder”. I had the wonderful blessing today of beholding great beauty.

Spring is in its full glory here in Kingman.  I find myself constantly delighted with the performance nature is giving. Cooler weather than usual has helped extend the enjoyment of spring blooms.

Today I witnessed a large grouping of purple irises that was about 6 feet long and 4 feet wide of solid blooms. It was glorious!! Also saw a cactus with more buds on its leaf tips than I would have believed could even fit. I will go back when the buds are open to witness the abundance of beauty.

In my own garden, we are blessed with the magnificence of 4 colors of roses with a backdrop of a large spray of ground cover with delicate pink flowers. The oleander has burst into bloom with its bright pink flowers. Alongside the house is a section of towering hollyhock reaching above the bedroom window with their buds starting to open up in an amazing display of color.

The backdrop of all of this is the fresh green of the deciduous trees and all the happy chirping of the resident feathered Beings.

One feels healthier just to relish in the good feelings that arise with so much beauty surrounding us.

We are indeed blessed!!
